Hookin2Hockey
This is Hockey Australia's branded program for all new players into our sport. It is the perfect introduction to hockey regardless of age or experience.
For a low cost of $50 the player will receive a Hook in2 Hockey pack including stick & ball, shin guards OR goal pack including T'shirt and fold out goal for use in the backyard and coaching. Our next program is due to start in March 2012 for approx. 5 weeks. To register for this program contact the office.
Coach Education
Club coaching workshops can be arranged at any time to discuss coaching topics relevant to individual clubs or coaches. These can be held at your home ground or the hockey centre at Buderim.
HockeyEd is the new name given to the old accreditation programs. Details of the courses are listed below with sections of the level 1 and level 2 courses available on line with Hockey Australia. Some practical assessment is still required to complete the course. (Please refer to the home page regarding our next level 1 course being offered in March and a level 2 course in Brisbane in April.)
The new coaching levels are:

· Level 1 (Previoulsy known as Beginner)
· Level 2 (Previoulsy known as Development)
· ADVANCED
· HIGH PEFORMANCE

A large range of DVD's covering coaching topics and the latest international matches are also available for loan from the office.
Player Development
A major part of the role involves assisting all representative teams with preparation for the various tournaments and State Championships they contest during the year.
This may involve overviewing planning, fitness testing (if required,assist with training sessions and providing feedback to both players and coaches.
During the year, player talent identified at either State or local level will be invited to attend small group skill sessions to help with their development.
Pre season and off season developments camps are also held to assist interested players with both skill technique and game related activities.
